My take as to why Bungie's Halo works so well
So to start this is an overall view of what made halo work so well
My perspective is from playing only the campaigns on normal and ocassonaly heroic growing up.
Now im leaning into lengendary as I learn more about what Bungie did for each game, while also owning all I can of the
Original work. 343 seems to not understand or activly trying to change halo, so just in case 343 just needs some help
I shall be going into what made halo so beloved, spawning a passionet fanbase right from game one.
like we got Halo:Custom Edition, As well as Insignia for original Xbox Live. Try it out :3 its freakin dope.
If they really wanted to do right by this make the last few games by 343 a dream cheif was having in cryo sleep.
that would honestly be a hilarius retcon and id love them for that(would also let them branch off into a dream halo, if they REALLY needed to..)
anyways.. this is what I think made Bungies Halo work!
Theirs the golden triangle, concept witch is the balance of weapons, melee & grenades.
Halo's weapons have varius functions, Meleeing with different guns changes the distance & melee recovory speed.
Some guns are more benificial with camo then others, effecting the camos recovory time and depletion when firing.
faction based weapons vary in stats & effects, with the reloads and other factors making them stand out from one another.
Every one on the Bungie team was passionet about the idea of halo, some more then others, but they all had something similar in mind for what halo is.
Nerds of anime, history, more realistic sci-fi ideas. The ring its self is based of something Nasa thought up. Its position in space was also considered.
